Carpentry Production Manager

A leading Furniture Manufacturing company based in Qatar is currently seeking for experienced

Carpentry Production Manager to manage the Factory.

• Manage and supervise the production process from material preparation, cutting preparation, assembly, finishing and packing to the finished product and all activities related thereto as well as site installation.
• Do the estimates and costing (manufacturing process, material requirement, man-hour requirement, site installation and overhead cost).
• Plan & manage production to ensure all that products are completed and delivered on time.
• Generate production and performance reports.
• Train and guide production staff to improve manufacturing methods, tooling and production equipment capabilities.
• Responsible for ensuring quality, efficiency and productivity standards are met based on a set of specific criteria.
• Ensure the full understanding of the shop drawings and details by the production staff and prepare any details required or cutting lists.
• Liaise and coordinate with all suppliers and vendors and be familiar with multiple price options for raw materials and allied services.
• Coordinate and liaise with the Administration and Sales department for the procurement and logistics of projects & materials, incoming & outgoing stock levels, Job Orders, Delivery schedules etc.
• Generate the periodical reports as follows:
  • Master production schedule for the projects.
  • Daily/weekly production schedule for workers.
  • Production performance and utilization report.
• Other duties and responsibilities as per directions.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in Joinery Production with Joinery/ Furniture/ Interiors manufacturing companies.
• In-depth knowledge of all aspects of modern and latest joinery/ Furniture manufacturing methods and techniques.
• Knowledge of all aspects of furniture manufacturing which includes but is not limited to Painting, Polishing, Upholstery, Inlaying, CNC etc.
• Must be fully familiar and conversant with all types of wood working machinery and their associated programs.
• Experience in “High End” Interior Fit out and finishing works.
• Good knowledge about latest interior trends, finishing materials, suppliers, brands.
• Good Knowledge of MS Projects/ Primavera is preferred.
• Education background in related field is highly preferable.
• Proven leadership & Instruction skills.
• Excellent communication & negotiation skills.
• Strong organization and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English language is necessary.
• Experience and ability to work in multi-national working environment in supervisory role.
• Valid Qatar Driving License or transferable License.
• Residents of Qatar is highly preferred.
