General Manager – Plastic Bags Manufacturing
We are seeking a highly experienced and results‑driven General Manager to lead and oversee the full operations of a plastic bags manufacturing facility in Doha. The ideal candidate will have extensive factory and manufacturing experience within the plastic bags or related plastic packaging industry, strong leadership capabilities, and a hands‑on management approach.
Responsibilities- Lead overall factory operations, including production, maintenance, quality, supply chain, and administration.
- Drive manufacturing efficiency, productivity, and cost optimization while maintaining high‑quality standards.
- Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with business goals and market demand.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements.
- Manage and mentor department heads and factory staff, fostering a high‑performance culture.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance of the manufacturing unit.
- Coordinate with sales and commercial teams to ensure timely production and delivery.
- Monitor raw material procurement, inventory control, and vendor management.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance output and reduce waste.
- Report directly to ownership/board on operational performance and strategic matters.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably within plastic bags or plastic packaging industries
. - Proven experience as a General Manager in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong factory operations and production management background.
- Excellent leadership, people management, and decision‑making skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and financial understanding.
- Hands‑on, proactive, and highly motivated with a “hungry” mindset for growth and results.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple operational priorities.
