8-10 years experience in the level of Senior Operator, especially in Wire Drawing and Stranding Machines.

Certified from Industrial Training Institutes after Secondary School or Pre-degree.

Operational knowledge, principles, practices and procedures on Wire drawing and stranding machines.

• Lead the team of Operators in the Metallurgy Scope Section (Wire Drawing, Stranding and Wire Rewinding Machine) and ensure that machine outputs meet established quality standards and specifications.
• Supervise and guide all Operators, ensuring they handle machines, raw materials, tooling and consumables within company standards and safety guidelines.
• Oversee the Metallurgy Scope Operators in handling machines as per work instructions and set parameters of the quality system.
• Provide proper manufacturing order plans based on the schedule from the planning department for each machine centre.
• Authorize production after verifying tooling used on the machines.
• Counter check quality of products from machines and ensure compliance with standards in terms of quality.
• Verify every product is provided with identification tag and status information.
• Follow up with operators to record production, process and quality data in relevant documents and countersign the same.
• Notify foremen of non-conforming products, put them on hold, and implement corrective action recorded in the relevant documents per the quality system.
• Ensure tooling such as dies, tips and marking segments are submitted and taken from Die shop with due care.
• Suggest productive ideas for continuous improvement in output and quality.
• Report to foremen non-conforming products arising from raw materials and consumables, unsolved process-related issues, environmental and safety issues, and initiatives for continual improvement.
• Ensure all team members adhere strictly to environmental pollution controls and that releases to air, water or ground are under control on each machine.
• Ensure operators follow the segregation of hazardous and non-hazardous materials using scrap and disposal bins properly.
• Guide operators to follow machine safety rules and general company safety guidelines; assist foremen and safety officers with incident analysis.
• Coordinate with maintenance personnel during machinery breakdowns and planned preventive maintenance.
• Assist logistic section in reviewing raw materials stock and in-process semi-finished goods stock as needed.
• Act as trainer for newly hired operators, teaching safe and productive operation of machines; provide training on special processes such as welding of GS wire, GS tape, copper tape, conductor butt-welding, crimping of conductors and copper tubes.
