QA​/QC Engineer

The QA/QC Engineer (HVAC) is responsible for ensuring that all HVAC installation, testing, commissioning, and documentation activities are executed in full compliance with project specifications, applicable standards, Qatar Energy requirements, and approved quality management systems. This role ensures defect-free delivery of mechanical works and continuous quality improvement across projects.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory)

Experience:

Minimum 5 years' HVAC QA/QC experience in Qatar

Project Approval:
Qatar Energy Approved (Mandatory)

Driving License:
Valid Qatari Driving License

Languages:

Fluent in English & Hindi (Spoken and Written)

Computer

Skills:

MS Office, QA/QC documentation systems

Health:
Medically fit for site-based work

Professional Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years hands‑on experience in HVAC QA/QC works within Qatar
• Proven experience in Qatar Energy, Oil & Gas, or large‑scale industrial projects
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including:
• Chilled water systems
• DX systems
• AHUs, FCUs, VAVs
• Ducting, insulation, dampers, and controls
• Experience working with consultants, client inspectors, and third‑party testing agencies

• Implement and maintain the Project Quality Plan (PQP)
• Review and approve ITPs, Method Statements, MARs, MIRs, and WIRs
• Ensure materials and installations comply with:
• Project specifications
• Approved shop drawings
• Qatar Energy standards
• ASHRAE, SMACNA, and relevant international codes

• Conduct routine site inspections for HVAC installation activities
• Coordinate and witness:
• Pressure testing
• Duct leakage testing
• Air balancing & water balancing
• Functional testing and commissioning
• Ensure proper calibration and certification of testing equipment

• Maintain accurate QA/QC records, including:
• Inspection reports
• Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs)
• Corrective and Preventive Action Reports (CAPA)
• Prepare handover documentation and as‑built quality records
• Support project audits and Qatar Energy inspections

• Identify quality deviations and issue NCRs as required
• Monitor closure of NCRs and verify corrective actions
• Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives

• Liaise with:
• Project managers
• Consultants
• Client representatives
• Attend coordination, quality, and progress meetings
• Provide technical support to site teams to ensure quality compliance

• Qatar Energy Engineering Standards (QES)
• American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air‑Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE)
• Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors' National Association (SMACNA)
• Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA)
• National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) (where applicable)
• ISO 9001 Quality Management System
• Strong knowledge of HVAC QA/QC procedures
• Excellent inspection and reporting skills
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Strong communication skills in English & Hindi
• High attention to detail and problem‑solving ability
• Ability to work independently and under pressure

• Timely closure of NCRs
• Compliance with inspection schedules
• Successful Qatar Energy audits and inspections
• Quality documentation submitted on time
