Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

Kitchen Hygiene:

Expiry Dates:

  • Monitoring and managing the expiration dates of all food items.
  • Rotating stock to ensure that older items are used first.
  • Keeping accurate records of food expiration dates and properly disposing of expired items.

Cooking Meat:

  • Preparing and cooking meat dishes according to established recipes and food safety guidelines.
  • Ensuring that all meats are cooked to the proper temperature to guarantee food safety.
  • Monitoring and maintaining appropriate cooking equipment and tools.

Inventory Management:

  • Managing inventory levels and placing orders for food and kitchen supplies as needed.
  • Conducting regular inventory counts and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Organizing and arranging storage to optimize space and facilitate efficient workflow.

Compliance:

  • Adhering to all relevant health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
  • Ensuring that all kitchen staff are trained in proper food handling and hygiene practices.

Communication:

  • Collaborating with kitchen staff and management to maintain a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Communicating effectively with suppliers and vendors to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a cook or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety practices.
  • Knowledge of proper food handling and cooking techniques, particularly in relation to meat.
  • Familiarity with inventory management and ordering processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment and communicate well with team members.
Salary & Benefits

Salary range: QAR 4,000 – QAR 8,000 per month, depending on experience and the type of establishment. Higher‑end restaurants and hotels may offer more competitive salaries. Benefits such as accommodation and transportation can influence the overall compensation package.
