Role DescriptionThe Driver is responsible for safely operating company vehicles to transport goods, materials, or passengers to designated locations. The role requires strict adherence to traffic rules, timely delivery, and maintaining the cleanliness and condition of the vehicle.
Key Responsibilities- Safely operate company vehicles in accordance with traffic laws and company policies.
- Transport goods/materials/passengers to assigned destinations on time.
- Load and unload materials when required.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips.
- Ensure the vehicle is kept clean, fueled, and in good working condition.
- Report any mechanical issues or damage immediately.
- Maintain accurate trip logs, delivery notes, and mileage records.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules efficiently.
- Comply with company safety regulations and procedures.
- Valid driving license Medium/Heavy.
- Minimum 5 years of driving experience.
- Good knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations.
- Ability to read maps, GPS, and delivery instructions.
- Strong communication and time‑management skills.
- Physically fit to lift and move goods if needed.
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- Experience in logistics and transportation.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus.
- Customer service experience is an advantage.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions during outdoor tasks.
- May involve lifting or handling packages.
