In this role, you will be responsible to manage and ensure smooth running of the Transport unit of Discover Qatar (DQ) through effective utilization of assets such as vehicles, Tour Guides, and Drivers. Responsible for all logistics procedures and process. Key driver of efficiency and quality in all execution. Oversee and manage the airport and port operations. Develop vehicle and transport logistics plans for DQ across all verticals including but not limited to customer transport, desert transport staff transport airport transfers, and city bus tours.

• Managing full transportation department including Transport & Logistics team, Airport staff, Port operations, Tour Guides, Drivers, and company leased vehicles.
• Design logistics strategy that ensures maximum utilisation of all tangible assets.
• Work closely with the Reservations and Products department to ensure a smooth operational execution.
• Ensures that the Vehicle rostering is aligned to customer forecasts.
• Maintain relevant metrics and analyse data to assess performance and implement improvement. Create Logistics and Transport SOPs for the department covering all aspects.
• Responsible for setting annual targets and report on daily operations.
• Provide innovative transportation solutions to meet the needs of specific market segments.
• Oversee-rostering, recruitment and itinerary execution
• Supervise, coach, and train staff; manage vendor relationships.
• Responsible for sourcing, utilisation and maintenance of all vehicles.
• Develop emergency recovery and vehicle replacement plans.
• Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 6 years of job-related experience
• Qatar Driving licenses a must.
• Thorough knowledge of Qatar, road network and history of places of interest is beneficial.
• Sound leadership management and-financial and presentation skills
• Computer literacy is a must.
• Excellent command of English language.
• Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills.
• Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members
• Knowledge of other European languages and/or Arabic would be advantage.
• Knowledge of automobile (coaches and buses) will be an added advantage.
• Safety and first Aid courses would be added advantage.
