Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Transportation Coordinator to manage and supervise daily student transportation at our driving academy. The ideal candidate must ensure smooth, safe, and punctual pick-up and drop-off for students attending theory, yard, and road test sessions.

Preferred Language: Malayalam (preferred)

Student Transport Operations

• Prepare and update daily pick-up and drop-off schedules based on student locations and class timings.
• Ensure timely transport to and from the academy, exam centers, and external training locations.
• Maintain a detailed log of students using transportation, with location, contact number, and schedule.
• Communicate transport updates to students using Whats App, calls, or SMS.
• Support newly registered students in getting transport service from day one.

Driver and Vehicle Supervision

• Assign duties to drivers and follow up on punctuality and route discipline.
• Monitor driver behavior and ensure they maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment inside the vehicles.
• Schedule regular vehicle checks and coordinate with the maintenance team for any required repairs.

Route Planning and Cost Efficiency

• Plan smart and efficient routes to reduce fuel costs and time spent on the road.
• Use Google Maps/GPS to monitor traffic and suggest alternative routes when needed.
• Group students from nearby areas to avoid unnecessary trips.

Emergency Handling and Support

• Quickly manage transport delays, breakdowns, or student complaints.
• Arrange backup vehicles in case of emergencies.

External Coordination (if needed)

• Coordinate with external transport providers like Karwa for additional support during peak times.
• Ensure proper documentation and follow-up on vendor performance.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a driving school or training center in Qatar.
• Must have a valid Qatar Driving License.
• Good knowledge of Qatar roads, transport laws, and Traffic Department procedures.
• Strong skills in Excel, Whats App group communication, and basic mobile apps for routing.
• Able to speak and write in English fluently. Speaking Hindi and/or Malayalam is a strong advantage due to the student base and driver team.
