Chase & Holland are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing accountancy practice in Doncaster, who are looking to appoint a Semi Senior / Senior Accountant to strengthen their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an accountant already working in practice who wants greater ownership of client work, hands‑on audit exposure, and a clear pathway to progress within a supportive and forward‑thinking firm.

You’ll manage a varied and interesting client portfolio, working across accounts preparation, tax compliance, management accounts and audit. The role offers real responsibility, client interaction and the chance to further develop both your technical and commercial skills.

• £30,000 - £40,000 salary depending on experience
• Exposure to a diverse client portfolio
• Strong audit and technical development opportunities

• Long‑term, permanent role within a stable and growing practice

• Preparing year‑end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Producing management accounts for selected clients
• Preparing personal tax returns (Self Assessment) up to review stage
• Leading and supporting audit assignments, including planning, fieldwork and client liaison
• Working with cloud‑based software including IRIS, Sage, Xero and Quick Books
• Building strong client relationships and responding confidently to queries
• Ensuring work is delivered accurately, efficiently and to deadline

• Currently working as a Semi Senior or Senior Accountant within practice
• Audit experience beneficial but not essential
• Confident using IRIS, Sage, Xero and Quick Books
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting and tax
• Well‑organised, detail‑focused and able to manage competing deadlines
• Professional communicator with a proactive mindset and pride in quality work
