About

The Role

The Materials Management Team arranges soil testing and classification of waste, sources suppliers, and negotiates rates for all types of land removal, from clean to contaminated soils. This role provides an opportunity to develop into a specialist within Ecofficiency while working alongside colleagues to procure services, build supplier relationships, and ensure client satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Procure waste management solutions and site services for the Materials Management Department, securing quotes to buy competitively and meet client requirements.
  • Liaise daily with waste management companies, disposal sites and transport companies.
  • Ensure suppliers conform to industry standards and services meet SLA requirements.
  • Generate sales quotations, follow up with calls and negotiate rates to convert to order.
  • Assist in tender compilation, working with sales teams to provide options protecting margin and meeting client satisfaction.
  • Maintain customer data and interaction records while fostering internal and external relationships.
  • Co‑operate with the Soils Customer Service Team to ensure bookings are completed and resolve queries.
  • Occasionally support the Customer Service Team on an ad‑hoc basis.
Additional Information
  • Working hours:

    42.5 per week, Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑5 pm or 8:30 am‑5:30 pm, 30‑minute lunch and two 15‑minute breaks.
  • Full‑time office based in Doncaster, with hybrid working after probation; candidates must reside within a reasonable distance to DN9 3GA.
