Position: Shift Engineer (Permanent)
Are you a skilled engineer ready to take on a hands-on role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We're working with a leading organisation in Doncaster that's seeking an experienced Shift Engineer to join their dynamic Engineering team.

About the Role

As a Shift Engineer, you'll play a key part in keeping operations running smoothly by carrying out effective maintenance, repair, and continuous improvement across the site. You'll be part of a skilled, supportive team committed to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and performance. You'll work a Double Days shift pattern, with plenty of opportunity for personal development and overtime.

What You'll Be Doing

Deliver planned preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns efficiently.

Manage and prioritise your workload to meet deadlines and operational KPIs.

Support colleagues and contribute to achieving departmental targets.

Ensure all engineering work adheres to Health & Safety and Food Safety standards.

Supervise contractors on-site and maintain excellent housekeeping standards.

Monitor spare parts stock and ensure machinery meets site standards.

Communicate effectively with teams across Operations, Technical, HR, Finance, and Quality.

About You

Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar engineering role.

At least 2 years' experience in electrical or mechanical maintenance (or equivalent education).

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in mechanical/electrical repair and maintenance.

Strong problem-solving, organisational, and teamwork skills.

Proactive, safety-conscious, and confident in challenging constructively.

Experience in food manufacturing and knowledge of Pirana CMMS are desirable.
