This challenging and exciting opportunity requires an individual with a good technical design background and demonstrable experience from either a consultancy or contractor. The successful individual will take responsibility for producing designs within the piling, foundations or ground improvement sector. The client has an abundant pipeline of works and several major long‑term contracts, offering scope for a wide variety of piling projects and scopes of work.

• Understand and deliver the client's requirements and liaise with clients/main contractors to optimise engineering solutions.
• Ensure appropriate selection of piling technique for the ground conditions.
• Undertake geotechnical analysis using in‑house and commercially available software, prepare reports for client submittal, and respond to technical queries during the contract life cycle.
• Prepare settlement packs, contract design documents, drawings and schedules.
• Apply awareness of risk, including H&S and commercial aspects.
• Liaise and provide technical support to the operation team during installation.
• Produce as-built documentation post construction.
• Develop and maintain harmonious client relationships.
• Work collaboratively with other group business units to achieve shared end goals.

• Eligible to work unassisted in the UK (sponsorship not available).
• Experience in designs using appropriate software packages (e.g. Plaxis 3D).
• Piling or ground improvement design experience covering a wide range of techniques, values and complexities.
• Ability to work in isolation and communicate complex technical matters simply and clearly, both in writing and verbally.
• Enthusiasm and results‑focused, able to work well under pressure and against stringent deadlines.
• Effective negotiation skills with both internal and external clients and teams.
