Management Accountant

Management Accountant | Doncaster | Permanent Job Your new company We are working with a growing business based in Doncaster, recognised for its commitment to innovation, efficiency, and delivering high‑quality products. As the company continues to expand, they are looking to appoint a Management Accountant to strengthen the finance team and support ongoing growth. Your new role Prepare and finalise monthly management accounts to agreed deadlines, including variance analysis with clear commentary against budget and forecast.

Lead the month‑end close process, covering journals, accruals, reconciliations, and maintaining general ledger integrity in line with accounting policies. Produce management reports with KPIs and trend analysis to give meaningful insight into performance. Monitor production costs, overheads, and margins to ensure efficiency and profitability across operations. Support budgeting and forecasting cycles, aligning financial targets with operational plans and strategic objectives.

Provide ad‑hoc financial analysis to support strategic projects and decision‑making. Partner with operations, supply chain, and production teams to translate financial data into actionable insights. Identify opportunities to improve processes, streamline reporting, strengthen controls. What you'll need to succeed Either a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or an active studier/nearly qualified with strong progress toward completion. Experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with knowledge of cost accounting, standard costing, and variance analysis.

Understanding of inventory management, stock valuation, and margin analysis to ensure accurate reporting of production costs. Strong management accounting and financial analysis experience Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills Strong Excel and financial modelling skills; ERP/MRP system experience (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, Sage) is advantageous.
