HR Administrator

Location: Doncaster
Contract: Permanent role
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday–Friday)

The Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Administrator to join our Human Resources Team based at our Doncaster site
. This is an excellent opportunity to support a busy HR function within a large, well-established organisation.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support across all areas of HR and play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with HR processes including absence management and new starter/leaver administration
  • Create and maintain accurate electronic personnel files
    , ensuring compliance with GDPR
  • Complete HR administration tasks such as:
    • New starter documentation and Right to Work checks
    • References (incoming and outgoing)
    • Healthcare letters and occupational health referrals
    • Ad hoc HR correspondence
  • Maintain HR spreadsheets, trackers, and produce reports as required
  • Arrange meetings and related activities, including notifications to employees and managers
  • Provide HR support during formal absence meetings and low-level investigations
    , including minute-taking
  • Support the L&D Coordinator with training administration and scheduling
  • Process invoices, obtain approvals, and liaise with Finance
  • Carry out general HR administrative duties, including filing and post handling
  • Undertake ad hoc duties as required
The Person Essential
  • GCSE Grade C / Level 4 or equivalent in Maths and English
  • Ideally have2 years’ experience in an HR, or similar, administrative role
  • Strong diligence and initiative-taking approach
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Ability to manage workload effectively and work with discretion
  • Understanding of Equality & Diversity
    , GDPR
    , and Employment Law
Desirable
  • Ambitions to achieve HR Foundation Certificate in Human Resource Practice (Level
    3)
