About The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the People Team at Sunbelt Rentals UK as a HR Business Partner.

This is a fixed term position covering maternity.

It will be your role to facilitate and lead the delivery of strategic and operational HR initiatives and projects within a specified business area(s) aligned to the company strategy and objectives. You'll ensure that our people are highly engaged, high performing and working collaboratively to help the Company to deliver its goals.

We are looking for someone who has a passion for HR with proven experience of developing and delivering a people plan that enables a high performance culture. You'll have the credibility to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders in a multi-site environment and a collaborative approach to working closely with the wider HR Team and Finance colleagues.

Based from home, the geographical area you will cover will be national but with the autonomy to manage your own diary. We anticipate applicants will be living in a location with good transport links to effectively operate in this regional role, for example the M62 corridor.

To succeed as an HR Business Partner you will bring the following skill-set and behaviours:

  • Relevant HR qualifications (CIPD, or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in HR business partnering including experience influencing senior management and critical stakeholders
  • Experience in leading organisations through significant change, including a sound understanding of HR legal compliance requirements
  • A Generalist background with experience in reward, employee relations, communications, talent and development, resourcing, organisation design and development, cultural change programmes
  • Experience of creating project proposals through to successful implementation and delivery of change programmes
  • Experience of working alongside Finance in order to understand and challenge the operational P&L
  • Experience of successfully working independently with limited day to day support
  • Thorough knowledge of employment law including experience of employment tribunals
  • Experience of TUPE transfers, mergers, acquisitions and organisational change
  • Driving licence essential

The role will predominantly be field based and you will be expected to hold a driving licence as frequent travel is required, which will involve overnight stays.
