Position: Senior HRBP Fixed Term, Pxt

We are looking for a Senior HR Business Partner to cover a 12‑month fixed term contract during maternity leave. The role will support Amazon’s HR plan at our delivery stations in the South, working closely with operations teams and managers to drive employee engagement, manage change and retain motivated teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Associate engagement programs, act as Employee Relations subject‑matter expert, monitor Associate feedback to drive effective employee relations, retention and reward programs.
  • Manage labor relations and complex cases with internal and external parties, integrating legislative changes into HR policy and practices.
  • Create people‑centric plans to meet business demands, aligning talent strategy with business objectives.
  • Coordinate with management to build and execute recruiting of middle and senior management, onboarding, training and development initiatives.
  • Facilitate and manage the talent review process and succession planning in partnership with management.
  • Draw insights from data to improve processes, employee engagement and policy alignment across the business.
  • Manage and deploy complex HR projects and lead change initiatives, including implementing new tools and technology to support stakeholders.
A Day in the Life Organisational Development and Planning

Work with operational partners to define key business goals and priorities, using core metrics to set goals and prioritise work. Provide input into organisational design discussions, including talent for succession planning and attrition risks.

Organisational Health

Implement projects addressing workplace environment, employee engagement or retention issues. Conduct diagnostics, communicate findings and deploy strategic remedies. Lead investigations into employee relations issues and support roll‑out of network compliance initiatives and ensure understanding of local employment law.

Workforce Planning and Recruitment

Lead hiring, partner with operational/functional heads, participate in interview panels and drive hiring decisions, resolving conflicts where required.

Talent Management & Development

Act as a central resource for all talent practices, partner with leaders on talent development and performance improvement initiatives, drive promotions, coaching and development planning, and lead the talent review process.

HR Operations

Analyse and pull reports from HR tools, ensure data integrity, identify process improvements, build business cases for change campaigns, and roll out new policy changes/services with adoption support.

People Management

Set direction for teams, build launch plans, provide coaching and feedback, apply performance management practices, and hold leaders accountable.

People Strategy

Communicate the HR vision to teams, translate core metrics, influence change initiatives, and create local departmental strategy addressing employee relations issues with other HR Business Partners.

Basic Qualifications
  • Knowledge of local labor law.
  • Experience as an HR generalist.
  • Strong understanding of HR theory, functions, performance appraisal systems and staff development.
  • Experience supporting an hourly employee client group.
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools and HR Information Systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management.
  • Experience assessing management and executive talent.
  • Experience developing and administering HR compensation plans.
  • Experience in HR with companies supporting 250–500 or more associates.
