The Role

We’re looking for a qualified and experienced HGV Mechanic to join the team at their busy Doncaster site. You will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of a fleet of HGVs and trailers, ensuring all vehicles are roadworthy and compliant with current legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

* Carry out routine inspections, servicing, and repairs on HGVs, trailers, and plant vehicles

* Perform pre-MOT checks in accordance with DVSA/VOSA standards

* Maintain accurate service records and complete all necessary documentation

* Ensure the workshop is kept clean, safe, and organised

* Support other workshop or transport duties as needed

Requirements:

* Full UK Driving Licence

* City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in HGV Maintenance (or equivalent)

* Proven hands-on experience working with HGVs in a workshop environment

* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

* Good understanding of health and safety practices

* Attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines

* Able to work independently and as part of a team
