We are passionate about Doncaster – it’s a great place to live, do business and visit. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Council’s Facilities Management Team and contribute to the provision of a high quality facilities service for a portfolio of buildings.
Responsibilities- Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for all building users.
- Undertake statutory testing/inspections and report results to line manager.
- Perform preventative maintenance, non-specialist repairs, furniture erection and moves, minor decorative works.
- Handle ground maintenance at premises as required.
- Maintain statutory records for health and safety matters including fire safety, electricity and water.
- Support the Senior Technician as required.
- Experience in a customer-facing environment and the ability to handle difficult situations.
- Knowledge of health and safety issues relating to facilities management.
- Technical background and understanding of facilities management operations.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines and prioritise work.
- Ability to undertake manual handling and possession of a full driving licence.
- Permanent full-time post (37 hours) over 5 days.
- Additional hours may include evenings and weekends.
