Our Store Development Team is strengthening its construction team to meet our ambitious expansion plans. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Construction Project Manager to join our team in the Doncaster Property Office. You will manage, plan, and oversee construction projects across Yorkshire and Humberside, ensuring the highest standards and deadlines are met.

You’ll oversee the construction of new stores, extensions, and modernisations of our existing store portfolio, ensuring the highest quality standards and compliance with our corporate specification and H&S requirements. Managing relationships with key collaborators, you will liaise with internal and external parties throughout the project cycle. You’ll work proactively to address potential obstacles and plan costs, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Please be advised, you will be expected to be in the office or on site a minimum of 3 to 4 days a week.

Please note this role is recognised internally as a Senior Construction Consultant.

• Oversee the construction of new stores, extensions, and modernisations of our existing store portfolio
• Manage assigned project plans and deadlines
• Monitor project progress and ensure quality standards are met at all times
• Manage relationships with external companies, contractors and suppliers
• Ensure compliance with our corporate specification and internal procedures
• Ensure the highest standards of Health & Safety performance on all construction sites
• Remedy any issues quickly and effectively to keep projects moving and ensure deadlines are not jeopardised
• Report on the progress of construction projects to the Senior team
• Budget management and controlling project costs

• Educated to degree level or equivalent in either Engineering or Construction
• Proven experience in a Construction/Engineering related role
• PC literate with strong Microsoft Office skills
• Professional and refined negotiator with sound commercial acumen and judgment
• Highly organised with a pragmatic and analytical approach
• Strong multi-tasker with the ability to prioritise conflicting deadlines
• Excellent communicator who can communicate confidently with people at all levels of the business
• Team player who can perform tasks independently using own initiative
• RICS, CIOB or MAPM accreditation is desirable or working towards qualifications
• Experience in another retailer is desirable
• Driving License is essential for this role
