Operations Manager, Production Manager
Think of yourself as the right‑hand to the Factory Manager, keeping the cutting and packing department running smoothly. You'll be the one ensuring people, equipment, and materials work together to hit production targets, maintain quality, and deliver customer expectations. This role requires you to be on the floor, spot issues before they become problems, and keep the team motivated when things get busy.

What you’ll be doingTeam Support & Leadership:
- Work closely with the Factory Manager to guide and develop your team.
- Ensure supervisors and staff maintain strong performance, attendance, and conduct.
- Set clear objectives for managers and hold regular performance discussions.
- Handle people‑related matters promptly and fairly, following HR policies.
- Keep operations legally and contractually compliant at all times.
- Promote hygiene and health & safety as everyday priorities.
- Stop unsafe practices immediately and take corrective action.
- Liaise with MHS staff to ensure all legal responsibilities are met.
- Help deliver planned production targets consistently.
- Monitor progress daily and work with other departments to resolve issues quickly.
- Make sure everyone in your department understands their role and has the training they need.
- Coordinate team activities to keep workflows smooth and efficient.
- Maintain product quality and customer standards.
- Support audits and inspections to achieve required accreditations.
- Recommend improvements to boost performance and quality.
Collaboration:
- Act as a link between the Factory Manager, colleagues, and other departments.
- Escalate issues when needed and ensure clear communication across the business.
- A-level education (college or degree preferred).
- IOSH Managing Safety certification.
- Food Safety Level 3 qualification.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and support a team.
- Experience in production management within a fast‑paced environment.
- A proactive, problem‑solving mindset and confidence under pressure.
