MIG Welder

Welder - Fabrication Team (MIG) | £17/hr

We are currently recruiting for a skilled Welder to join a busy and growing fabrication team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in steelwork, fabrication, or construction who takes pride in producing high-quality work in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform MIG welding on mild steel components to engineering specifications
Read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols
Prepare materials for welding, including cutting, grinding, and cleaning
Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards
Work collaboratively with the fabrication team to meet production deadlines
Use welding equipment safely and correctly
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
Follow all health and safety procedures

Requirements:

Previous welding experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment
Competent in MIG welding (other processes advantageous)
Able to read and understand engineering drawings
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Understanding of workplace health and safety practices
Physically fit and able to work in an industrial setting
Able to work independently and as part of a team Working Conditions & Benefits:

Industrial workshop environment
Physically demanding role with standing required
Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts; overtime and weekend work available
24 days annual leave
Pay: £17/hr, with potential increase after a 3-month probation based on productivity and quality
