Contract: Ongoing | Full Time / Part Time This is an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker to join the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) in Doncaster. In this ongoing role, you will play a vital part in safeguarding children and young people through effective information sharing, screening, and risk analysis. Role Overview :

As a MASH Social Worker
, you will be responsible for the effective screening and analysis of safeguarding concerns. Working within a fast-paced, co-located multi-agency environment, you will ensure that children and young people receive timely and proportionate responses to risk in line with statutory guidance and local thresholds.

What You Will Do:
  • Receive, screen, and evaluate incoming safeguarding referrals and contacts.
  • Conduct initial risk assessments to identify safeguarding concerns and appropriate thresholds.
  • Apply statutory guidance and local procedures to determine outcomes such as early help, assessment, or statutory intervention.
  • Gather, share, and analyse information from partner agencies including police, health, education, and early help services.
  • Produce high-quality written analyses and clear professional recommendations.
  • Identify cases requiring Section 17 (Child in Need) or Section 47 (Child Protection) intervention.
  • Participate in strategy discussions and safeguarding decision-making meetings.
  • Work collaboratively within a co-located multi-agency setting.
  • Build and maintain effective professional relationships with statutory and partner agencies.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of MASH processes and safeguarding pathways.
