Technical Photographer

12‑Month Fixed Term Contract

Dorking

Salary:
Up to £32,000

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

About the Role

My client is seeking a Technical Photographer to support our Aftersales department by capturing high‑quality, technically accurate product images. This role requires a strong eye for detail, proficiency with professional photography equipment, and experience in editing and managing digital image archives. You will play a key role in producing clear, precise visual documentation for parts, products, and technical materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Capture high‑quality, technically accurate images using professional photography equipment.
  • Ensure precise visual representation of product details, dimensions, and technical features.
  • Set up lighting, backgrounds, and equipment to meet specific technical and aesthetic requirements.
  • Edit and enhance images using industry‑standard software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop).
  • Ensure correct exposure, colour accuracy, cropping, and image quality across all outputs.
  • Prepare images for different platforms and documentation formats.
  • Organise, label, store, and maintain photographic archives.
  • Follow company procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Logistics, Manufacturing, and Aftersales teams where required.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as assigned.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Skilled in using professional cameras, lenses, lighting equipment, and studio setups.
  • Strong knowledge of photography principles (composition, exposure, colour theory).
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop or similar editing software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in technical representation.
  • Ability to work independently and manage imaging workflows and archives.
