Overview
MET Technician –
Location:
Dorking. Salary:
Up to £23 per hour (DOE).
Hours:
45 hours per week with additional overtime available. Extras:
Bonus on target up to £8,000 per annum.
- Repair damaged vehicles in line with manufacturer specifications using state‑of‑the‑art equipment and techniques within a modern body shop.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced accident repair centre.
- Follow correct repair techniques and ensure all work is completed in line with factory specifications and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and contribute to team success.
- Must have completed a recognised apprenticeship as an MET Strip Fitter / MET Technician and gained a technical qualification (such as NVQ / ATA / IMI / SVQ).
- Previous experience in a busy body shop as an MET Technician or MET Strip Fitter.
- Experience with geometry work and 4‑wheel alignment.
- Strong understanding of current vehicle repair techniques and ability to work to a high standard.
- Diagnostic training is essential, with a strong team ethic and motivation to earn bonus hours.
