Contract:

30 hours a week, 4 years contract About the Role Our client is seeking a confident, experienced Youth Worker / Senior Support Worker to act as the Directors right-hand person. This hands-on, senior practice role involves leading sessions, managing challenging behaviour, and ensuring the service runs safely and professionally.

Key Responsibilities Lead structured sessions for young people, including those with challenging behaviour Support young people involved in or at risk of entering the youth justice system Build positive, professional relationships while maintaining clear boundaries Respond to safeguarding concerns and follow procedures Apply trauma-informed and restorative approaches Support the Director with planning, leadership, and day-to-day delivery Complete accurate records, reports, and risk assessments Essential Requirements Minimum 3 years experience working with young people (youth work, alternative provision, or similar) Experience managing challenging behaviour Strong understanding of safeguarding and behaviour support strategies Level 3 youth work qualification or equivalent practical experience Ability to work independently and take responsibility Willingness to train as a Protective Behaviours Practitioner (training provided) Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

Desirable Experience within the Youth Justice System First Aid and/or Mental Health First Aid qualification Trauma-informed or restorative practice experience Full UK driving licence and access to transport
