A values-driven law firm in Dorset is seeking a Family Law Solicitor to join their Legal Aid team. As the only provider of Legal Aid for family law in the area, this firm is the last line of defence for vulnerable individuals and families in crisis. You ll be part of a small, ethics-led team doing work that truly matters.

You ll provide expert legal advice and representation to clients navigating domestic violence, child arrangements, and care proceedings. You ll work with social services, courts, and other agencies to secure the best outcomes for families.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising on family law matters under Legal Aid
- Drafting protective legal documents and representing clients in court
- Managing cases from instruction to resolution
- Collaborating across departments to deliver holistic support
- Upholding exceptional standards of client care
We re looking for a solicitor with:
- NQ to 2 years PQE in family law
- A working knowledge of Legal Aid processes (or the drive to learn)
- Strong advocacy and drafting skills
- Resilience, empathy, and a commitment to social justice
- A proactive, client-focused approach
- Passion for courtroom advocacy over corporate negotiation
