kolt recruitment are looking for a strip fitter to join a well-established accident repair centre in dover. this is a full-time, permanent position within a busy and professional bodyshop, offering long-term stability and consistent work.
Key Responsibilities- stripping vehicles prior to repair
- removing and refitting panels, trim and components
- identifying additional damage and reporting to the workshop controller or vda
- ensuring parts are stored, labelled and refitted correctly
- working closely with panel and paint teams to meet repair deadlines
- maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- previous experience as a strip fitter or met technician within an accident repair centre or bodyshop
- good knowledge of vehicle components and repair processes
- ability to follow manufacturer repair methods
- strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
