Working Hours
Monday to Thursday, 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM (flexibility required for occasional production demand). 38 hours per week.
Job PurposeTo ensure the effective operation of machinery to meet production deadlines by maintaining equipment, solving problems, and finding solutions.
Main Activities- Machine Operation & Maintenance
- Set up and operate packaging machinery and all related line equipment to deliver quality and output that meets or exceeds requirements.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance of production machinery and equipment.
- Repair and report production machinery breakdowns in a timely manner.
- Production Support
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure the achievement of the production plan and associated customer commitments.
- Communicate effectively with production teams and Section Leaders to achieve targets.
- Participate in new product testing and trials.
- Actively seek and implement ways to improve processes and performance.
- Ensure the correct use of systems to facilitate appropriate processes.
- Train others in best practices, including temporary technical support and colleagues.
- Safety & Cleanliness
- Promote a safe working environment and maintain contamination‑free work areas.
- Training & Development
- Undertake training suited to abilities to expand knowledge and skills.
- Experience in setting up, operating, maintaining, and repairing production machinery.
- Familiarity with hotmelt systems, vision/camera systems, labelling machinery, and general packaging machinery.
- Proven mechanical skills and general maintenance expertise.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to quickly attain these skills through training and experience is also acceptable.
- Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and a self‑motivated, organised approach.
- A team player who can also work independently, demonstrating reliability and conscientiousness.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
