Job Summary

This is a true software development role, not an Infrastructure, Dev Ops, Platform, or Data Engineering position. The ideal candidate is a senior backend developer who has evolved from Java development into Python and AWS cloud development and continues to write production code daily.
Quality is the priority. Lead/Architect-level candidates are welcome only if they remain highly hands-on.

Required Qualifications

• 1415+ years of overall software/cloud development experience preferred.
• Extensive hands-on AWS experience.
• Strong Python development experience, typically 5+ years.
• Strong previous Java development background.
• Extensive experience with AWS Lambda.
• Experience with Terraform and IaC.
• Strong API development experience.
• Experience with Kafka.
• Experience with AWS Step Functions.
• Strong Cloud Watch experience.
• Strong system design and cloud architecture knowledge.
• Must be highly hands-on and actively writing code.
• Strategic thinker with strong communication and follow-through.
• Significant professional experience working in the USA is strongly preferred.
• AWS certification such as Solutions Architect Professional or Dev Ops Engineer Professional is preferred.
