Job Summary
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing the full spectrum of accounting activities, including finalization of financial statements, budgeting, cash flow management, and VAT compliance. The role requires strong analytical and reporting skills to support the financial stability and operational efficiency of the car rental business.
Key Responsibilities- Finalize Trial Balance, Profit & Loss Account, and Balance Sheet on a monthly and yearly basis.
- Prepare and finalize annual budgets and monitor actual performance against budgeted figures.
- Analyze and report funds flow and cash flow positions to ensure adequate liquidity for ongoing operational commitments.
- Handle Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
, ensuring timely billing, collections, and vendor payments. - Conduct bank reconciliations and maintain accurate cash and bank records.
- Prepare and file VAT returns in compliance with statutory requirements.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits
, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and company policies. - Assist in cost control initiatives and provide insights to management for financial decision-making.
- Maintain proper accounting documentation and ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance in all financial transactions.
- Utilize accounting software and Excel for financial reporting and analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA/CPA/ACCA qualification preferred).
- 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within the car rental, automotive, or service industry
. - Proficiency in finalization of accounts, budgeting, and cash flow management
. - Strong understanding of VAT compliance and reporting
. - Experience handling internal and external audits
. - Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Tally, SAP, or Oracle).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
