Assistant Accountant

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Assistant Accountant to support our school’s finance department. The successful candidate will assist in managing daily accounting tasks, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with school policies and relevant regulations.

• Assist in day-to-day accounting operations
• Prepare and maintain financial records, ledgers, and reports
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
• Handle accounts payable and receivable
• Reconcile bank statements and monitor transactions
• Assist with payroll preparation and staff expense reports
• Coordinate with vendors and manage school-related financial queries
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
• Provide administrative support to the Finance/Accounts Department as needed

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 1–2 years of accounting experience (preferably in a school or similar environment)
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Tally, or similar)
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel and financial reporting
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Good communication and teamwork skills
