Accountant, Financial Reporting, Tax Accountant

Job Summary :

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to manage the day-to-day financial operations of our client beauty salon. This role includes bookkeeping, billing, payroll, inventory accounting, and financial reporting to support the salon's profitability and growth. The ideal candidate should have experience working in small businesses or service-based environments, preferably in the beauty or wellness industry.

• Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions (sales, expenses, and vendor payments).
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and payment processing.
• Reconcile bank statements, POS systems, and petty cash accounts.
• Prepare and review monthly financial reports, profit and loss statements, and cash flow analysis.
• Process staff payroll, commissions, and statutory deductions tax, social security).
• Monitor inventory purchases, cost of goods sold (COGS), and perform stock reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and support tax filing activities.
• Assist in budget preparation and track actuals vs. budget.
• Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, or consultants as needed.
• Suggest cost control and revenue improvement measures where appropriate.

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in retail, hospitality, or beauty / wellness industry.
• Proficient in accounting software Quick Books, Xero, Zoho Books) and Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with POS and salon management systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of payroll, tax filings, and local financial regulations.
