Site Engineer

Lavita Landscape Business is a premier landscape contractor renowned for delivering high-quality, complex, and luxurious outdoor environments across the UAE. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Engineer to manage and oversee the execution of our projects on-site. The successful candidate must possess a valid UAE Driving License to facilitate necessary travel between sites, suppliers, and our main office.

The Site Engineer is critical to translating design drawings into reality. You will be responsible for the technical control, quality assurance, and on-site coordination of all landscape construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, to specification, on time, and within budget.

• Setting Out & Measurement: Accurately interpret design drawings, establish site control points, perform setting-out of all hardscape and softscape elements, and conduct quantity measurement for progress reporting.

• Quality Control (QC): Oversee and ensure all work is executed strictly according to approved drawings, specifications, local authority standards, and industry best practices.

• Site Management: Direct and supervise subcontractors and labor teams, ensuring efficiency, proper work methods, and adherence to the project schedule.

• Technical Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve site issues, discrepancies, or clashes efficiently, communicating findings and proposed solutions to the Project Manager and Design team.

• Material Inspection: Inspect and approve incoming materials (hardscape, softscape, irrigation components) against specifications and quality standards.

• Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Ensure strict adherence to all site safety protocols, regulations, and quality management systems.

• Reporting: Prepare detailed daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, site diaries, and document site events, progress photographs, and variation requests.

• Coordination: Coordinate closely with other site engineers, MEP, Civil, and external contractors to manage interfaces and sequence of works.

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Landscape Engineering.

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience as a Site Engineer/Supervisor, preferably within the landscape, civil, or infrastructure construction sectors in the UAE/GCC

• License:
  Possession of a valid UAE Driving License is essential.

• Technical Proficiency:

  • Expert proficiency in reading and interpreting detailed Civil/Landscape construction and technical drawings.

  • High proficiency in setting out using total stations and survey equipment.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD for reviewing drawings and confirming dimensions.

• Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of landscape construction methodology, earthworks, grading, drainage, hardscaping, and basic softscape installation processes.

• Attributes: Strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills (English mandatory), resilient under pressure, and highly disciplined in managing site documentation and safety.
