Estimator Interior Fit Out

As an Estimator specializing in fit-out projects, you will play a critical role in the planning and execution of interior construction within various commercial, residential, and industrial spaces. Your main task will be to analyze and evaluate project plans, negotiate with suppliers, and work closely with architects and engineers to ensure all costings are precise and aligned with the client’s budget.

You will need to possess a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of current market trends and construction materials. Your expertise will help drive project decision-making, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, ultimately contributing to the profitability and reputation of the company.

• Analyze and interpret project plans and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to determine project requirements and scope.
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to procure the best pricing and terms.
• Conduct site visits to assess potential challenges and gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
• Prepare comprehensive project cost summaries and presentation materials for clients and stakeholders.
• Maintain up-to-date records of all project costings, estimates, and revisions for future reference.
• Identify potential risks and opportunities within projects to inform decision making and strategizing.
• Utilize specialized software and tools to generate precise and efficient cost estimates.
• Stay informed on industry trends, costs of materials, and changes in construction regulations.
• Assist in post-project evaluations and cost analysis to improve future estimating processes.
• Work closely with project managers to ensure alignment on budgetary constraints and adjustments.
• Provide training and guidance to junior estimators and new team members when necessary.

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in estimating, ideally within the fit-out industry.
• Proficiency with estimating software such as Plan Swift, Bluebeam, or similar tools.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for client and supplier interactions.
• Understanding of current building regulations and industry standards in construction.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
