Procurement Engineer
Responsibilities
Should be able to work freely and confidently on AutoCAD in order to verify quantities and finishes. Should be able to make value engineering recommendations based on design and finishes. Should be well versed with materials related to interior turnkey works such as building materials, joinery, MEP, glass works and signage, FFE and special items as required. Have strong and recent database of suppliers and subcontractors to source materials/works for interior civil works, MEP, joinery and glass works.
Negotiating and administration of local purchases, hired skilled workers and subcontract works. Stock and materials management. Ensure all invoices/bills of contractors and suppliers to be pre-approved by the cost control and immediate reporting manager. Work closely with design and projects team to arrange materials for sample board presentations. Assist the estimations team for product pricing as and when required. Ensure all purchases are done subsequent to an order confirmation related to the project, and as instructed.
Ensure timely and accurate systems are followed to avoid any lag in project execution.
