As a Senior Urban Designer reporting into the Senior Design Manager - Master Planning working from our Design Studio at the Al Hudaiba Awards office in Dubai, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the conceptualization and development of our large-scale masterplans such as Azizi Venice — a 136-hectare Venetian-inspired waterfront city in Dubai South featuring swimmable lagoons, retail boulevards, cultural venues, and over 200 luxury villas and 100 residential buildings — as well as upcoming communities like Azizi Milan and Monaco Mansions.

You will play a key role in shaping mixed-use, high-quality, and people-centric environments that integrate residential, hospitality, retail, and public realm components, while ensuring connectivity, sustainability, and design excellence across all phases of planning and implementation.

• Prepare masterplan feasibility design studies
• Provide urban design vision: public realm, streetscapes, open spaces, land use strategies, circulation / mobility networks
• Conduct and supervise site analysis: context, climate, infrastructure, topography, existing fabric, view corridors, accessibility
• Produce high-quality visualizations: hand sketches, digital renders, diagrams, 3D modelling
• Prepare compelling presentations, reports, feasibility studies, and design documentation
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (landscape, civil, structural, transportation, environmental, etc.) and external consultants
• Ensure compliance with Dubai / UAE planning regulations, codes, sustainability standards
• Mentor and review the work of junior designers; foster knowledge sharing
• Engage with clients and stakeholders; present ideas clearly, defend design decisions, handle feedback
• Monitor project schedules, costs, quality; identify risks and propose solutions
• Stay updated on trends in urbanism, sustainability, and digital tools (GIS, smart city, etc.)

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Urban Design, Urban Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture or equivalent; a postgraduate qualification is preferred
• Should have at least 8 years total experience in urban designing
• Proficiency in design & visualization software:
  AutoCAD, Sketch Up/Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, 3D modelling tools; GIS skills are an advantage
• Good knowledge of planning codes, sustainability standards, transit / mobility / infrastructure integration
