Interior Design Architect

Join SM Lux Home / LCD Interior: we specialise in ultra‑luxury residential design in Dubai and are seeking a senior interior architect to lead end‑to‑end design (concept, FF&E, shop drawings, coordination).

• Lead the full design process from concept development to final detailed drawings and site coordination for high‑end residential and hospitality projects in Dubai and across the UAE.
• Develop creative design concepts, mood boards, and presentations that reflect the company’s luxury aesthetic and align with the client’s vision.
• Prepare space planning, 2D/3D layouts, and detailed drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and Sketch Up (or equivalent).
• Select and specify materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and accessories (FF&E) — ensuring all selections meet both design intent and budget.
• Coordinate closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure design intent is implemented accurately on‑site.
• Supervise and guide junior designers and draftsmen, review drawings, and maintain design quality across all project phases.
• Liaise with clients and consultants to present design proposals, obtain approvals, and manage changes effectively.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, resolve design issues, and ensure workmanship meets SM Lux Home and LCD Interior standards.
• Coordinate with the furniture production team for custom‑made furniture, finishes, and material selections.
• Stay up to date with design trends, new materials, and luxury brands relevant to residential and hospitality interiors.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, authority requirements (Dubai Municipality, DDA, etc.), and international design standards.
• Deliver projects within timeline, budget, and quality parameters agreed with management and clients.

• 3–5 years of proven experience in high‑end residential, hospitality, or luxury commercial interior design within the UAE or GCC.
• Strong creative and conceptual design ability, with a deep understanding of luxury aesthetics, materials, and detailing.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch Up, 3ds Max, V‑Ray, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
• Excellent space planning and detailing skills with the ability to translate concepts into technical drawings and shop details.
• Strong understanding of FF&E, finishes, joinery, lighting design, and furniture production processes.
• Knowledge of materials, finishes, and suppliers commonly used in luxury interiors (Italian brands, natural stones, veneers, fabrics, etc.).
• Ability to lead presentations to clients and consultants with confidence and clarity.
• Experience in project coordination, ensuring smooth communication among design, procurement, and site teams.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making ability with meticulous attention to detail.
• Leadership and mentoring skills to manage junior designers, draftsmen, and visualizers effectively.
• Fluent in English (Arabic is an advantage); excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with local authority submission standards (Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, DDA, etc.).
• Organized, deadline‑driven, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
