Senior Lighting Designer
Azizi Developments, a leading Dubai-based developer, invites applications for the Senior Lighting Designer position. The role will be based in our Design Studio at the Al Hudaiba Awards office in Dubai and will report to the Head of MEP / Sr. Lighting Designer.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a unique lighting design for façade, interior, and landscape across projects.
- Collaborate closely with the MEP team, design managers, architects, landscape architects, interior designers, and electrical engineers.
- Assist electrical engineers and CAD technicians in developing detailed lighting design packages.
- Conduct on‑site reviews to support technical inspections.
- Coordinate technical workshops with suppliers and manufacturers to stay aligned with the latest product trends.
- Attend conferences, exhibitions, and learning sessions to keep up-to-date with market trends and code standards.
- Contribute to the growth of the team within the organization.
- 10‑15 years of lighting design experience as a consultant or supplier focused on creating unique lighting experiences.
- Comprehensive understanding of the lighting design process with a proven track record across all stages.
- Ability to communicate design ideas verbally and visually.
- Knowledge of current lighting industry trends and relevant regulations (CIBSE, SLL, etc.).
- Experience in producing delivery packages: concept presentations, luminaires specifications, control schedules, calculations, BOQ, layouts, and detailed drawings.
- Strong visual documentation skills – reports and presentations that convey technical information clearly.
- Proficient in Dialux Evo, Photoshop, AutoCAD, Revit & BIM, Lumion, Sketch Up, 3DMax, MS Office, and InDesign.
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture or a related field.
- 4‑8 years of role‑specific experience and qualifications.
