Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer specializing in Bridges and Underpasses to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our Supervision team you will play a crucial role in the construction supervision of major roadway projects, including new highways, interchanges, and the upgrading/rehabilitation of existing roads.
Responsibilities- Report into the Resident Engineer and supervise and coordinate structural engineering activities on construction sites.
- Comprehensive knowledge of RTA specifications.
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Follow up set inspection for installations and review inspector’s performance on a regular basis.
- Coordinate with the project managers to resolve technical issues and optimize solutions.
- Conduct site visits to assess construction progress and address any structural concerns.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of structural elements with other project components.
- Prepare and present technical reports and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and are completed within budget and schedule constraints.
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on bridges and underpasses (Cut & Cover).
- Comprehensive knowledge of RTA specifications and familiarity with Construction of Box Girder Bridges in UAE/Dubai.
- Strong understanding of international bridge design codes and standards.
- Demonstrated experience in developing QA/QC procedures for inspections and test plans.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to lead a small team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Familiarity with local construction practices and regulations in the UAE.
- RTA Pre-Approval is highly desirable.
- Middle East or UAE/Dubai experience preferred.
- Professional engineering license or equivalent certification is a plus.
