Overview

Assistant Resident Engineer - Civil (Sewerage Treatment Plant) role at Stantec in Dubai.

This role supports rehabilitation and expansion of a Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) to improve efficiency and capacity, with responsibilities spanning supervision of construction works, coordination with authorities, and optimization of operation processes in the existing STP.

• Manage and supervise construction works on the STP rehabilitation, extension, and upgrading projects.
• Coordinate with authorities and ensure compliance with Dubai DM guidelines and project requirements.
• Oversee site works and ensure alignment with the construction program using QA, quantity surveying, and project scheduling techniques (Primavera P3).
• Prepare instructions, specifications, reports, and cost estimates; support decision-making on-site.
• Liaise with DM and other infrastructure authorities as needed.
• Maintain strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Primavera P3.

• Full knowledge of existing Dubai infrastructure and related standards.
• University degree in a relevant field with at least 15 years of infrastructure project experience.
• Ability to make on-the-spot decisions and manage site works for construction and sewage treatment plants, including pumping stations; experience in infrastructure design is preferred.
• Experience following DM guidelines and supervising consultants to ensure works match the construction program.
• Strong written and verbal English communications, time management, and supervisory skills.
