Description:
A material engineer's qualifications focus on the selection, testing, and maintenance of materials for heavy equipment and machinery used in construction, or similar heavy industries.
- A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Materials Science is required.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in materials management, quality control, or maintenance operations within the construction or heavy equipment industry.
- Experience in a PMV workshop setting or managing materials for infrastructure/road projects is highly valued.
- Familiarity with the local UAE market and standards (e.g., RTA, ADM) is often a specific regional requirement.
- Strong knowledge of material properties, behavior, and testing standards (e.g., ASTM, ISO, API standards).
