Responsibilities- Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and BOQs for completeness and accuracy.
- Identify project scope, risks, and tender requirements.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits; manage RFIs/clarifications.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates including materials, labor, equipment, subcontracting, overheads, and contingencies.
- Maintain unit rates and cost databases for civil construction works.
- Coordinate with engineering, planning, procurement, QS, and project teams for technical and financial inputs.
- Source and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare commercial bid documents, pricing sheets, and supporting technical proposals.
- Conduct risk assessment and propose mitigation strategies.
- Identify value engineering options to optimize cost and competitiveness.
- Maintain tender trackers, estimation logs, and proper documentation.
- Present bid summaries, assumptions, exclusions, and risks to senior management.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
10–15 years of experience in estimation, tendering roles in civil construction.
Experience with large-scale civil/infrastructure projects (roads, buildings, bridges, waterworks, etc.).
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost structures.
Technical Skills- Ability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings and specifications.
- Expertise in estimation software (Candy, CCS, Build Smart, Primavera, MS Excel).
- Knowledge of market pricing and supplier/subcontractor networks.
- Strong analytical and numerical ability.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
