RoleSummary:
As a Data Analyst you will play a critical role in transforming vessel operational data into clear technical insights that support Fuelre4m Maritime trials, customer reports, and product development. The role ensures that all incoming data is accurate, consistent, and aligned with Fuelre4m’s internal data standards. The analyst will work closely with the Maritime Division and the wider Engineering and Product teams to deliver robust analytical outputs that validate Re4mx's performance across a wide range of vessel types and operating conditions.
Role Responsibilities:- Receive, clean, and structure raw vessel data sets including shaft power, fuel mass, torque, speed over ground, engine load, emissions, and environmental conditions.
- Apply Fuelre4m’s data standards to ensure consistency across all projects.
- Develop automated pipelines for data ingestion and quality control.
- Validate accuracy through comparison with onboard logs, engine models, and class-approved measurement tools.
- Conduct detailed analysis of vessel performance before and after dosing with Re4mx products.
- Produce calculations for fuel consumption, voyage time, engine efficiency, speed profiles, emissions reduction, load balance, and power demand trends.
- Build and maintain standardised analytical templates for all maritime trials.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of Fuelre4m’s analytical methodology and statistical validation processes.
- Support the creation of performance baselines for different vessel classes and operational profiles.
- Prepare clear and accurate technical reports for customers, class societies, and internal stakeholders.
- Produce graphs, tables, and dashboards that illustrate performance outcomes and trends.
- Support the creation of case studies, commercial presentations, and customer-facing material.
- Degree in Data Science, Engineering, Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related analytical field.
- Additional certification in data analytics or maritime engineering is an advantage.
- Experience analysing complex technical data sets, ideally within the maritime, offshore, or energy sectors.
- Strong competency in Excel, Python, Power BI, or equivalent analytical tools.
- Ability to interpret engine performance data and vessel operational parameters.
- Experience producing structured technical reports for commercial or engineering audiences.
- Understanding of marine propulsion systems, vessel operations, and emissions reporting is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple concurrent trial data sets.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in UK English.
