• Conduct thorough investigations of structural failures and damage.
• Perform detailed site inspections to assess structural integrity and identify issues.
• Analyse structural components and systems to determine the cause of failures.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation of findings, including recommendations for remedial works.
• Collaborate with other engineers, architects, and construction professionals.
• Develop and implement testing procedures and protocols.
• Stay updated with the latest industry standards and regulations.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers in forensic investigation techniques.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Professional Engineer (ICE, PE license or equivalent) preferred.
• Demonstrable experience in structural engineering, with significant forensic investigations experience.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficient experience using structural analysis software and tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with advanced forensic investigation techniques.
• Membership in professional organisations such as ICE or similar.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
