Role Overview

A well-established company specializing in packaging solutions for the cosmetic industry is looking for an experienced Product Development Manager with a strong background in the cosmetics and perfume industry to lead the creation of innovative packaging solutions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in glass and aluminum materials, a keen understanding of market trends, and a drive to develop exceptional products that exceed industry standards.

This role involves close collaboration with design, engineering, marketing, and sales teams to deliver client-focused, cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end product development for fragrance packaging projects.
• Convert client briefs and market insights into innovative product concepts aligned with brand identity and trends.

Material Expertise

• Utilize knowledge of glass and aluminum materials to create functional and visually appealing packaging.
• Suggest sustainable materials to meet environmental standards and consumer expectations.

Trend Analysis & Innovation

• Conduct research on emerging trends in fragrances, packaging, materials, and consumer preferences.
• Integrate market trends into product development to maintain competitive advantage.
• Coordinate with internal teams (design, engineering, R&D) and external suppliers for feasibility, quality, and timely delivery.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met.

Industry Expertise

• Apply deep understanding of the perfume and cosmetics market to anticipate client needs.
• Monitor competitor products and technological advances.

Prototyping & Testing

• Oversee prototype creation and testing to ensure performance meets specifications.
• Resolve technical challenges related to materials or manufacturing processes.

Client Interaction

• Present concepts to clients, provide project updates, and address feedback or concerns.

Qualifications & Experience

Mandatory Expertise

• Proven hands-on experience with glass and aluminum materials in packaging design.

Experience

• Minimum 7 years in product development within the perfume or cosmetics industry preferred.

Education

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Product Design, Material Science or related field;
  Masters degree is a plus.

Skills & Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of fragrance packaging requirements: aesthetics, functionality, durability, sustainability.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes for glass and aluminum packaging.
• Awareness of emerging trends in fragrances, cosmetics, and luxury packaging.
