Procurement Engineer - Mechanical Job Description

This role is responsible for acquiring mechanical materials and equipment for construction and infrastructure projects. The responsibilities include identifying qualified suppliers, soliciting quotations, evaluating offers, managing supplier communications, negotiating terms, and ensuring materials are delivered within schedule constraints.

The ideal candidate should have technical knowledge of HVAC, piping, and mechanical systems to ensure high-level materials are procured according to project specifications. They must also demonstrate expertise in evaluating mechanical drawings, specifications, and product data sheets, as well as handling procurement for HVAC systems, pumps, valves, and piping materials.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to ensure all mechanical procurement aspects meet project schedule requirements. This includes fulfilling progress updates, vendor performance, and communication among stakeholders to prevent delays in material arrival.
