HSE Design Lead

This key role requires a strategic thinker to interpret business issues, identify opportunities for improvement and recommend best practices.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading complex engineering-related projects, working independently with minimal guidance and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes.

• Develop and implement comprehensive designs that meet project specifications, design codes, and standards.
• Utilize advanced problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges and non-standard situations.
• Prepare detailed design calculations, analyses, reports, and procedures to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to achieve objectives.
• Communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends in HSE engineering.
• Collaborate with procurement teams to source equipment, materials, and services that meet project requirements.
• Review and approve vendor and subcontractor submittals to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Provide technical guidance and support to less experienced engineers on discipline procedures, standards, and software.
• Identify areas for process improvements and contribute to the development of departmental technical guidelines and standard calculation notes.
