• Perform routine preventive maintenance on pumps, motors, valves, compressors, and other mechanical systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in rotating and static equipment.
• Replace worn-out parts such as bearings, seals, gaskets, and couplings.
• Conduct daily inspections of mechanical systems to identify leaks, vibrations, or unusual noises.
• Monitor equipment performance and report abnormalities to the engineer.
• Use the CMMS to perform maintenance tasks and ensure all data is accurately recorded and uploaded into the system.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns or system failures.
• Support emergency repairs to minimize downtime and environmental impact.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas around mechanical installations.
• Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.
• Participate in safety drills and toolbox talks.
• Work closely with electrical technicians, operators, and engineers.
• Report maintenance activities and issues to the engineer.
• Assist in training junior staff or apprentices.
• Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health, Safety, and the Environment by understanding and communicating relevant policies to ensure compliance with safety regulations and the company’s safety policies and procedures related to maintenance and repair activities.

• ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–3 years of hands‑on experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in sewerage, irrigation, stormwater pumping stations, or STPs.
• Experience with sewage or fluid handling systems is highly desirable.
• Basic computer and CMMS skills for logging maintenance activities.
• Ability to work in shifts and respond to emergency breakdowns.
