Procurement Engineer-JIS

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Engineer to support the procurement process for materials, equipment, and subcontracted services related to MEP and main contracting projects. The role requires strong technical understanding, negotiation skills, and coordination with engineering, project, site, and supplier teams to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant purchasing according to project requirements.

• Prepare and review material requisitions with project and engineering teams
• Source and evaluate suppliers, materials, and subcontractors as per project specifications
• Obtain and compare quotations, prepare comparative statements, and recommend cost-effective options
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors
• Prepare purchase orders in line with company policies and contract requirements
• Coordinate with logistics and site teams to track deliveries and resolve procurement issues
• Maintain supplier databases, procurement logs, and material tracking reports
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and accounts for invoice verification and payment processing
• Ensure procurement activities comply with project specifications, standards, and local regulations

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 1–2 years UAE experience as a Procurement Engineer in an MEP or main contracting company
• Knowledge of MEP materials, specifications, and procurement processes
• Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle is a plus)
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure
• Strong understanding of UAE supplier markets (preferred)
