Field Service Engineer

Rapiscan Systems is a global leader in detection technology, delivering advanced X-ray and trace inspection systems for ports, borders, military, and high-security facilities. We provide tailored scanning solutions using low-, medium-, and high-energy X-ray technologies to help combat terrorism, smuggling, and trade fraud.

This role involves installation, commissioning, maintenance, and support of Rapiscan’s X-ray and trace systems across the UAE and MEA region. You’ll be responsible for diagnostics, repairs, preventive maintenance, and customer support across multiple projects.

• Install and service X-ray and trace systems across the region
• Conduct site surveys and prepare technical documentation
• Diagnose and resolve system faults; elevate complex issues as needed
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, including call-outs
• Submit service reports, non-conformance reports, and change requests
• Liaise with customers and internal teams to ensure system performance
• Provide feedback to engineering and product teams for continuous improvement
• Maintain safety standards and ensure compliance with company procedures

• BSc in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (postgraduate or IT certifications a plus)
• 3–4 years’ field service experience; X-ray or high-voltage systems preferred
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems
• Proficient with schematics, test equipment, and diagnostic tools
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
• Flexible to travel and work non-standard hours, including weekends and holidays
